Trilliums. . . I had never seen this plant until this Spring in Tennessee. The symmetry of threes: three leaves, three sepals, and three petals—hence, the common name “trinity flower.” I love the inspiration that we can receive from plants and finding all of these trilliums in my backyard was such a blessing from God. The delicate balance that this plant needs to survive and grow in woodlands. . . reminds me of the delicate balance in our own lives. Just like the trillium we need to be nourished daily with the air we breathe, the water from the earth. . . but even more the words that we speak and that are spoken over us are so important to find balance in daily living.
The spirit, the body and the mind. . . trinity.
May God bless you richly today, Terri
